The
photos above show us with some of our beloved Greyhounds, past and
current. In addition to our own dogs (currently 5), we
also foster Greyhounds for the Greyhound Rehoming Trust.
This
page shows photos and videos of the dog(s) we are currently fostering.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with ANY questions you may
have regarding a specific dog or adopting a Greyhound in general: we
always love to help, and especially someone who is looking to adopt one
of these lovely creatures!

Beethoven (alias "Beefy", "Beefburger" or "Friedrich")
Beethoven is an extremely loving, caring and friendly dog of about 9 years of age. A gentle giant, a
poet at heart, he loves lounging on a soft cushion in the corner (it
has to be the corner, note!) by the heater until the highlights of the
day's entertainment - food or walk are equally exciting! - are about to begin. Then he paces up and down with excitement!
Beefy
loves people and other dogs alike. Our cats have found him almost
immune (this is quite rare amongst Greyhounds, at least to begin with)
as he pays them no or very little interest - no cat incidents ever with
Beefy! He loves female dog company (and like most greyhounds, is
particularly attracted to other greyhounds). He would best suit a home
where he would be with one other (female) dog or where he could be on
his own. He should best not be rehomed with another male.
Outdoors,
he is gentle and patient, and very placid towards other dogs, both male
and females; he has never shown any aggression on his walks towards any
other dog, small or big, male or female. Inside his home, however, he
can be aggressive towards other male dogs. He is not great off the lead
and we recommend that he be walked on the lead (we walk him on an
extension lead).
Beethoven is a very loving, cuddly dog with a
heart of gold. He really enjoys human company and human contact will
bring out the best in him. Grooming (he loves his coat brushed) and
ear-cuddles are his favourite things (next to ladies and walkies and
food, naturally).
